Default Lots of Snow in Portugal

It's not very usual, I never saw this in my whole life, neither my parents or grandparents!

The only place where it usually snows is at Serra da Estrela, at almost 2000m high.

yesterday, sunday, it snowed a lot in places at the sea level!

Here are some pics I took this morning when arriving at work!

The normal path to job was full of ice, so had to go round by a less steeper hill. The truck slided...

The Boss's car, an A4 3.0TDI Quattro, the only one that managed to go by the normal path...

Lol. I was in lisbon on thursday/friday. It was a real summer on thursday, almost 30 celsius more than in slovenia - but friday was quite windy (and some rain). But snow?
I hopet for some warm weather in barcelona when i go there in 2 weeks. But noooo, you got snow.
I hope there's no snow in Jerez when I go there to drive Z4 (M included 8) ).
A month to go.

A few weeks back we had tons of snow and then temperaturtes of -30C. Our car got stuck a total of 6 times during just a few days. Diesels owners have a very had a very hard time starting up their engines, 160 people froze to death. Now it's becoming warmer and the snow is melting rapidly...the road are very slippery.

But Portugal...damn!! That's a rare site...it' s much closer to the equator than Poland. I remember a few years back, when in Greece a thick layer of snow covered the Acropol.

Pehtren - be sure to take lot's of pics

I think Europe has had a particularly cold winter this year, my parents are complaining about it on the phone to me.

Here, it was 92F yesterday and I am slighty sunburnt from being in the car for much of the afternoon (it was my day off)
