i still havent tested my limits for o/c with the card (actually, right now my HDD is my biggest limiting factor... running about 1/10th speed... and the CPU is the next limiting factor @1.667ghz AMD xp 1900... which im almost 100% sure i could o/c to 2.0ghz.. but i didn't unlock the chip way back when.

Your card is up for the job but that chip is a major bottle neck for the card and for the system in general

You can pick up a 3200 for like 120$ these days

Eh, they just do a proper reformat, and run GTL in DX8 mode and you should be fine

I like em... but how is the incar-ingame...? experience.. not the replay eye-candy...

Some times in GTR it wasn't as polished as it should have been.

And the control - is it as exagerated in the under-steer department like GTR?

The part of GTR I found unltra un-realistic was the tendancy to plough like an Audi at 5mph

In game is the best part, not the eye candy. Just go read comments people make, it feels stellar. Nothing like it. The fluidity, the feel...But keep in mind these cars are nothing like GTR. Tires dont have sharp slip curves, are much slower, much easier to drive, you can slide them around thanks to the tires they run. But they are still extremly hard to drive fast and on the limit...Trying to get a decent time out of an overpower Mustang is not easy, nor is trying to max out all you can from the underpowerd Lotus.

This trully feels polished, and with the patch in the works right now it is looking to be very stable and solid.

And there is no low speed understeer any more. That was an old engine issue...anyway anyone who experianced it was just driving too slow, because that was a a problem at extremly low speeds.

Anyway only you will know if its good for you or not by trying it.

Everybody loves it, even the online magazines do

OMG!
stunning car
ok this is looking extremely pre-rendered, more likely... the T+L engine is far beyond that of any other racing game ever.

just to bring up an old topic... how many poly's per car were used in general?

Nah man just so PS motion blur.

Oh and youd be surprised how low the polys are. I will tell you for sure tomorrow maybe, SimBin boys are not online to ask right now.

But it's lower than any other car game/sim out there.
