Holy mother of fuck. I thought the Macca owned the record for "The Fastest Production Car", not "The Fastest Road Legal Car".

sweet. 9ff is one serious tuner to be coming up with products like that car. Obviously it didn't break any records as a production car, but as a street legal car this is one hell of an acheivement. As far as i know this isn't the first one ot break 241mph, but nevertheless that's one hell of a benchmark for a fledgling tuning company

As others I think the "real" record is for "production car" not roadgoing car.. I mean, it's not that tuners aren't allowed into the game, but still, it is two different things

And BTW, also funny how the road legal car had to have the rearview mirrors removed and be dutch taped everywhere to reduce drag

but who cares in the end, it is an incredible achievement!

It is no doubt a fast car and a very good and fast-rising Porsche aftermarket company. However, as far as record goes, it requires too much assistance to achieve that speed even tho it got hundred something more horses than the F1.

That's an awesome feat of engineering from these guys - but yet again the McLaren F1 is used as their benchmark 12 years after it's release?! We all know the F1 was in production and had mirrors wipers and no duct tape!!

Don't get me wrong, this is a phenominal achievement, but not exactly going to knock the F1 out of the world record books..

^just fishing, but i think that small wing is put there in order to ensure the stability at high speeds. it looks as if it was fashioned for very very low downforce (minimal drag) but just enough to direct air straight off the back of the car.... and the side flaps at the ends of the wing look as if they keep the car left-right stable. sorry can't give a better explaination - fluid dynamics never really were my thing

I'm happy that it's a Porsche who made this record.

Thanks TT for this great article.
