let me clarify that, not icons of you choice, but the start menu icons are changed by the skin. You dont have a choice.
StyleXP is supposed to be better than windowsblind, but they will reduce performance.

Well if those icons get changed by the skin u can always change it back manually and if you wanna change ur icons urself...u can do that manually too.

I just figured out that StyleXP released version 2.0 which lets you switch icons too!
It also allows you to change logon screen and boot screen. I get free update too!

and once you purchase it, dload themes and logons from www.themexp.org

It does...I've changed most icons in the most important folders like My Documents, Program Files, etc...

WTF Fleischmann it must take ages for your computer to load up. That is way too many shortcuts on your desktop. Desktop shortcuts are supposedly for fast acces to programs you use daily. I am sure you dont use all of those daily! And besides that, having the name of the programs in alfabetical order on the start menu is far better than looking for icons in your colorfull desktop lol it gave me a head ache just looking at it.
