Its not out yet. 6pm is when they are officially going on sale.

December will be the time to buy(get ripped off and get a) iPhone because they will have enough time to finish writing most of the software they rushed just to get the product out.

Yup, and quite possibly the best marketing you could ever ask for when trying to sell a product..

I really hope people's first reactions are, "I spent $700 for this piece of shit?" But of course Mac fans could never say such things about an apple product.

^Well, not just marketing. It's the bling factor, bragging rights. ppl like to show off their cells these days, and the iphone is the perfect tool to tell ppl u have money to spend.

I personally wouldnt get one now in it's current incarnation.

First gen APple products tend to be a "paid public beta test" product

It's hard to text with one hand

I went to the mall just a few hours ago to get some dinner and there was this enormous line coming out of one of the doors which confused me because I didn't know what was going on there due to it being a relatively small mall. Then I remembered it has a Mac store and the iPhone came out today. Freaking unbelievable how many people were in line buying the stupid thing, at least 200+ and then there were tons of people coming out of the mall with 2, 3, 4, and even 6 iPhones :shock: I don't see what all the fuss is about.

It's nice, but not that special IMO

I own a nokia N91 and I'm super happy with it, the memory is more than enough for all the music that I want to hear. I have a 2mpx camera and google maps. I really don't care about the screen size and watching the videos. Thats why I own a laptop and a TV... I don't see all the fuss about the iphone.
