Default Australian High Performance Imports Mines R34 GT-R Article

Hi there,

My name is Tony and I own an R33 Skyline here in Australia.

As as intro I present an article on arguably the best modified Skyline ever made, the Mines R34 Tsukuba Special.

600hp, 1,300kg, 57 seconds around the famous Japanese track.

They are big files for easy reading.

hmm...no responses to this. Well anyways, if anyone knows about Best Motoring International Videos, I believe its either Volume 4 or 5 where they test the performance of the Mines R34 Skyline. Im not at home right now so I cant check what volume it is. I also believe that a preview for those volumes at...

Other than that. Mines goal with the R34 Skyline is to focus more on the reponse of the care rather than just bolting a shit load of upgrades, shit this car is scary fast. Watch the video and you'll know what im talking about.

Good link, great car. If anybody has trouble finding it drop me a PM. The test drivers in the video seem really impressed by the car; one of them was actually swearing because it was so fast. I wish more tuners would take Mines' minimalist approach of upgrading.

White and black are the best colors for skyline.
And yest it's the same car that was featured in BMI vol 5. It's crazy fast 2 fast for the road car.

Glad you like the article.

The problem with the big name Japanese cars (eg. Jun's Hyper Lemon, Veilside Combat GT-R, HKS Kansai GT-R) is that they do not have much in the way of solid information for English speaking folks.

We would love to see people buy them, bring them to Australia for a full road test to see what exactly has been done to them.

One of the goals many Skyline owners have in Australia is to build close mechanical copies of these cars.

We are truly lucky to be able to buy Skylines cheaply in Australia.

I hear Mine's doesn't do much to the car. Just puts in the electronics stuff like computers and those in the car controlled by one. = / I like Calsonic and Pennzoil's R34 better!

Nice article. I never knew that it was one of the fastest cars to lap the Tsukuba circuit.

Thanks for the scans. This was just what I was looking for, anybody know what the price was for a "new mines GTR" . Just curious in what ball park the car was going for.
