UK, September 11, 2006 - While news that Bizarre Creations is working on Project Gotham Racing 4 may come as no surprise, the game has recieved a sort-of official announcement over the weekend - but not by Microsoft. Instead, French car maker Peugeot let slip that the game is in development in a press release detailing the company's fourth design-a-car competition.
In the release - which invites applicants to use their imagination to re-invent the car with six values in mind: Pleasurable (to drive), Lively, Efficient, Accessible, Simple and Ecological, or PLEASE for short - Peugeot announced that the winning design would "be featured in the Project Gotham Racing 4 videogame, only on the Xbox 360." In addition, the winning idea will made into a full-scale concept car that will shown on Peugeot's stand at the Frankfurt 2007 Motor Show. The winner will also receive a cheque for 6,000 Euros.
It's thought Microsoft was planning to announce PGR4 at its X06 event later this month but Peugeot leaked the news first. Microsoft was unavailable for comment at this time.

If PGR4 is as unfinished and poor as PGR3 - who really cares?

I thought PG3 was great the one time I played it at a videogame store in Wellington, New Zealand, because I was bored and had nothing better to do.

PG3 had a great garage interface though, how you can actually walk around your cars.

I just think the Project Gotham Racing series as a whole is a good, reasonably realistic driving experience. Not much else, though.

What was wrong with PGR3? anyway they rushed PGR3 out within a year just to please microsoft and get it out for launch. PGR4 should be alot better in all areas.

PGR3 has very few tracks, many cars with similar "physics" models, a pointless "photomode" and the clumsiest replay management system in the known universe
The only real use I found for PGR3 has been to make "fake videos" of cool cars

PGR3 has a really cool in-car view, nice engine sounds, it looks nice, big selection of sweet cars, and the garage feature is pretty damn cool. Yes the physics are not the best and don't change that much between cars, but at least the cars are fun to drive and powerslides and such are always good fun. It was also a launch game right? So that'd probably be why it was rushed...
I'm looking forward to PGR4. 8)

... and to add on to the list of "what's wrong with PGR3" I think that the way multiplayer matches are made is very poor compared to to PGR2 because once u finish a race in carrer mode u have to join in a different lobby everytime and you can't stay in with friends unless it's outside carrer mode, which then you can't improve ranking.
