why would they ditch the 206 for that big ass crap? the one thing peugeot had over other cars was compact size and nimbleness, throwing the 307 in there would bring their capability down to that of the subaru. byebye manufacturer's championship

They probably want to market/advertise the 307. The 206 is already old and established. Remember that these companies put their cars in rallying for one reason which is to sell more of them.

Exactly, and the 207 will come pretty soon (well, ok, end of 2005 is not that close...).

And BTW, the idea of using the CC as a base is so original It would be cool to see Gronhölm and Co cruising between a special and the next one, with the roof down . Ok, I think the WRC version will have a fixed roof, a coupé, but you can never know

2005 for the new model...sounds good....always loved the 206 although its starting to show its age a little. cant wait for a new model.

a convertible WRC car.....why didnt someone think of that earlier ? imagine all the fun Gronholm will have when all the mud flies into the car. Now that would be advertising
