Default bmw

it seems alot of ppl here think that bmw is the shit and the best cars ever
i personally dont see the appeal, i thought that the z8 was pretty cool, but even Bond ditched that car, as far luxuary i'd go with a Caddillac

bmw sucks

I had a 3 series BMW a couple years back. it had the best combination of luxury and performance when compared to other cars in its class and its a yuppie status symbol.

that class or market niche is very competetive and there are many other cars that have now equaled bmw. I drove a GS430 and 540i and I thought the gs430 was flat out better in all aspects.

imo, caddy suvs are a bit on the ghetto side and the sedans are mostly driven by old geezers. but I when I saw the CVT(?) with the vette motor and 50/50 weight dist. I was impressed !

bmw sucks
I think that is going a bit far...

I too am an American Muscle fan, I don't think you can get any better sports car, stock, than the corvette. But BMW's cars have won very many awards and are top notch when it comes to the all-around quality of production. Not to mention the performance aspect and the interior style.

well go argue to car and driver mag for having the 3 series/m3 on the ten best cars for several years. Cadillacs, however, do not appear as often there. I guess you are just out of your line with this post. BMW perform much better than cadillacs. I am not saying cadillacs are not nice, the new models are appealing, just not as much as a BMW.

If I had a bunch of money to spend on a luxury sedan, there's no question in my mind. A 5-series is the only choice.

I drove one a while ago and I'll never look back. Compared to a BMW -- especially with the right engine and factory options -- everything else is a passenger's cruising car.

That is, until Porsche makes a 5-seater...

i've been in a bunch of the new caddy's..other than the exterior styling of the CTS the ride was very european, quite a departure from the soft squishiness usually associated w/ caddys. in any case when i sat in the umm i cant remember what its called, but the new suv..i was kinda confused! it was exactly the same as the cst! at least bmw can distinguish their model interior's. i think that caddy is an a state of reinventing itself at the moment. it'll be interesting to see what they come up with in the future, but at present bmw is clearly better.

Just test-drive one and you'll see why they're so good. Great handling, great feedback, comfortable yet sporty ride, smooth, powerful engines, great styling (well, things might be questionable now). But seriously, they're a blast to drive. Whenever I feel like I might be getting tired of my car, I just jump in and a smile just appears on my face. =)
