Little Question of the driving missions
Hi,
I decided to play some driving missions but I'm stuck at one mission, number 23 (Slipstream) , where you drive a Skyline GT-R and get first place. There is a very long difference between the first and the second car. My problem is how I can get passed the first car ??? I'd try to get the highest speed I can get and am still one or two seconds to late to beat the first car. Can someone please tell me how I can get 1st place ?
THX

i know you have now completed it, but i was stuck on the exact same mission for ages, then i realised that you had to let the other cars behind slipstream you, and then get a pull from them once the had passed, and repeat this. Took me bloody ages to work out though

Thats why its called the "SLIPSTREAM Battle!" Sounds pretty boring. I already tried it and got bored. I cant wait to start playing GT4 again after I do some SERIOUS updates!

Same mission, same problem, even if i tried to get help from the other competitiors. They catch up, but they get on the side too early and don't pass me! They also have the bad habit to brake before the turn, when it is not necessary, so they need a lot of time to catch up with me (about 1/3 of the circuit) and then they brake again!!!!!
Tell me if there is another tric to pass it please...
[I was going to start a topic for this mission if I hadn't seen yours]

Nope...that's pretty much it...you just have to keep trying and let the cars slipstream you, pass you, and then slipstream them to slingshot up ahead into the lead car's slipstream. It took me a few tries, but in the end I won by several seconds. Just wait until you get to the last mission where you race an SLR against a bunch of older Mercedes including a 300SL around the Nurburgring...only problem is that you have a 123 second late start and have to make up the difference in one lap! Took me a while, but I beat it eventually Now on to get the gold licenses and my Model T!!

Oh that sounds fun! BTW you can also tune your F1 car in arcade to a useless 1000+ HP and make it even more lightweight!
