Default Top Gear - Series 9 - October 8th, 2006

There is at least one more series in the pipeline, which is due to start on October 8 and run until Christmas.
- TimesOnline.co.uk

Fingers crossed they'll test all the new important cars of the year. (997 Turbo, LP640, 599, 997 GT3, etc....... and not to forget, Veyron around track)

I hope that they'll be around long enough to test the Evo X and BMW 335ci, two cars that I'll be in the market for next year.

What's the deal with the rumor going around that Top Gear might not be around much longer? Does the BBC not want the show on the air or something?

no, it's the people living around the test track that don't want Top gear around. From what I know, after this series finishes airing the next series is still up in the air, so they might or might not make a series 10.

If they really donīt produce a 10th series it would be an EPIC loss for JW and all car lovers  Without a doubt it is the best car programme in the world and has an amazing amount of viewers worldwide. The BBC simply has to find a way to continue producing it, maby by simply buying another test track somewhere else where nobody can complain about it...

Last series geez that sucks! Hang on a minute, the top gear track is an airfield it has massive jumbojets so why would people complain about cars that make a small percentage of the sounds 747's make. Well the best reason I could think of is JC retiring, he does have a broken hip afterall and maybe the BBC realise the show is pretty much shit without him. Imagine richard testing all the supercars.
