Default 500+whp EVOVIII video

running about 25psi, which is somewhere around 520-525whp. AEM EMS log showed 122mph in top of 4th and clearing 20 to 120mph in 8.4 seconds... impressive!

Not bad, I wish it was longer and more detailed.

That would be a good strategy

im quite sure its faster then a new evo, however, 6 additional psi to the evo isnt good for almost 2x stock hp figures... not by a long shot without other massive upgrades... massive.

ive seen v8's pushing 8 and 9psi with 200 additional hp when a turbo is added... but thats for much larger displacements. (specifically a singer turbocharged 2003 mustang mach 1 @ 512 whp) but it still takes a bit more then stock internals

thanks for the video boltz

A little more info on this Evo VIII via evolutionm.net:

I have the redline set at 7900rpm on the EMS. Trans is stock and the clutch is a Exedy twin-disc metallic, which works really nice. I just got some Exedy Carbon-Carbon twin-discs in stock and I'm going to try one. It should engage very smoothly but hold more power at the track (the coefficient of friction of carbon-carbon goes up as it heats up).

BTW that box on the dashboard is the UTEC TUNER, very nice piece of equipment that displays A/F ratio's and lets you listen, via Headphones, to the knock sensor.....badass! if anyone is interested in these give me a call and explain how they work and/or give a demo.
I believe this car runs a GT-35R turbo that is capable of 680hp:

Compressor Trim: 56
Inducer Size: 61mm
Turbine Trim: GT 35
Inducer Size: 68mm
Turbine Housing: T3 / .63 A/R
