Challenge exhaust setup, Challenge rear grille... this test mule should be the Light Pista, not the F430 replacer
That's why I said it was the Light Pista. It's exactly the same as the test mules we've seen before.

As for the V10 I think you're right. I wouldn't mind if they would keep a V8 but since the competitors have V10 engines (Gallardo, V10 R8,.... ) and with cars like the new M3 already with V8's it would make sense to put 2 more cylinders on it. As for the power, in theory, it should have something near 600 bhp but that would too close to the 599....

On a side note, the F430 "Light Pista" will probably be called the 430 Scuderia...

To my knowledge, Ferrari has no history filing "red herring" United States Trademarks applications. In other words, if they invest in a filing, they intend to use the mark. On May 22nd 2007, Ferrari filed for "430 Scuderia".

Go to: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?...tate=ngcno.1.1 and type in "430 scuderia".

BTW - 430 is just a typo, or has it lost the F in front?

Anyway, I think they should decide something, and stick to it. Just like AMG, or the M beemers... or especially the GT3 saga, they should take Challenge Stradale, or Light Pista or Scuderia... and stick to it in the future, like a sort of trademark of the most hardcore V8 Ferrari
Yeah, its interesting how Ferrari, for all its traditions, has never had a consistent naming system
