I'm not sure if this information has been posted before since it's quite old, but I'll post it anyway. Sorry if the pictures aren't great in quality. This is a much better rendering than the previous CCX/Enzo mash-up mess posted. Very exciting details!

From Road & Track July 2006:

Information was conceived through Ferrari, industry sources and the artist who designed the car on these pages. Following its usual pattern of a new supercar every seven years, Ferrari will unveil the Nuovo Enzo in 2009.

Enzo's 5.0 liter V-12 will be punched out to somewhere around 6.5 liters with about 800bhp, versus the Enzo's 650. Combined with the extra power and less weight (the Nuovo Enzo will shed more than 200lb, US version expected to come in under 3000lb. through even more use of carbon fiber) the car could hit 60mph in under 3.0 seconds and the quarter mile in the mid-10s. Once again this will not be a top-speed record-breaking car, Ferrari choosing to focus on handling at all speeds. But figure on the car attaining 230mph.

Unlike the dramatic change in styling between the F50 and Enzo, the Nuovo Enzo (though the car will definitely not be called Enzo) will share the current car's general shape, but lose the jagged design that some found less than appealing. Think of it as a cleaned-up Enzo.

The front of the car shows the most significant changes, with an actual Formula 1-type font wing - right down to the hangers. That wing is adjustable in length, height and angle. The two wings above adjust their angle according to speed. The low side flaps that sit directly ahead of the front tires are also adjustable, as are the carbon-fiber rocker panels that fine-tune downforce at speed. The rear of the car has a huge diffuser but does without any kind of wing. Variable aerodynamic bleed, as show in the FXX, will optimize downforce and drag, most of this lurking beneath.

One of the more beautiful aspects of the car is the flowing front fenders, much different from the Enzo's. You'll also note a lack of mirrors, replaced by a camera on the car's roof that gives rear views. The roof also incorporates an air scoop that grows out of the windshield.

Thats fugly blue8!

Not that the current Enzo is a beauty but ok.

I can see a F1 shaped a bit into it, so maybe functional but not pretty.. :bah:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current Enzo's got a 6.0liter engine not a 5.0l.

New details?
We just told you about the upcoming Enzo replacement based on the Millechili concept a few days ago, but now we have a few more juicy rumors to share. Informed sources tell us that the upcoming replacement for Ferrari's Enzo supercar will take a different tack. As was reported earlier, it is believed that Ferrari wants to go with a smaller dimension vehicle featuring a smaller displacement engine. We're not sure of the dimensions or weight, but at least in the engine bay we should see a reduction over the current supercar. It is believed to be powered by a V8, unlike the Enzo's 6.0L V12. Not to be outdone by the likes of Bugatti and Koenigsegg, however, rumor has it this new Ferrari (F60?) will feature a pair of turbos feeding that V8, resulting in somewhere around 900 HP. Even with a vehicle weighing about the same as the Enzo, 900 HP would produce staggering performance. Early word was a 500 HP target figure, but the 900 number seems to be pretty firm according to our source. We'll keep our ears open for any other details we might hear about the possible Enzo successor.
