Those resale values are terrible...if u bought one brand new....but being able to enjoy an XJR for as little as makes no difference under 10k in the UK is all part of the British Motoring experience, and i think the later jags are slightly more reliable than those rust buckets of the 80's and early 90's.

I give the new one a thumbs up - Jaguar has started to excite me lately, both with the XF and the XK (those 5 litre V8s should be able to fend off anything ze Germans throw at them!).

^Yeah, the low resale values are great. Who cares if they are unreliable when they are cheap? If it breaks, buy another one for a ridiculously low price!

To be fair, Jaguars are probably more reliable than most. There is a high number of old Jaguars rolling around, so it seems they hold up pretty well. Hell, some of them are still used as race cars, so clearly they are still pretty sturdy.
