What is the attraction of personalized plates? Sure they look cool for posing, but if ever another road user is hassled or bothered by your speed/driving/noise etc - you have an easily remembered and sometimes antagonizing plate hehe
I have first hand experience of this.

When I got my first job after Uni, I had an MG Maestro with the numberplate G778 KYD - I was at some lights and I swear I heard some chavs in an adjacent car say 'its that kid (KYD) car again'. Now I am not sure of what I was supposed to have done, but they recognised the car due to the catchy numberplate so I just got the hell out of there quick (as quick as a 115hp MG Maestro can go)...
