Default windows xp

ok, i asked a computer guy, this, remember that was having probs. with the 1e6.exe and the win32.exe, well the guy told me to reinstall windows xp without reseting the disk, i insert the xp cd and a instalation window appears and then he told me to run install again,

is this gonna delete all m files? and my internet configuration?

he told me that the hole thing is going to stay the same but with the restaured system! is he alright?"

Ok when installing XP, I know for a fact that you can select an option to the effect of "keep all of my files." About the internet connection, even if you rid the system of this information is very easy to reconfigure given that you have all the ISP information. Most likely your Internet info will remain.

you will not loose information unless you format your disk
