By using the program winrar.

better explained, WinRAR is a program such as WinZip but it can handle many more compressed extensions. WinRAR is supperior to anyother compressing software I've seen.

Apparently people say that 7-zip is better than winrar. I haven't personally tried because I've not run into a single thing that needed that, but I doubt it'll make a difference if the files are large.

BTW, you can "view" rars on VLC player if theyr are video files without needing to uncompress the rars!
