Default Aston Martin named `coolest brand in the UK`

Aston Martin named `coolest brand in the UK`

The exclusive CoolLive event held at the ´Gymnasium´ in King´s Cross this week reinforced something that most of us already know.

Aston Martin is the coolest brand in the UK.

Coolbrands is an unprecedented initiative from the Superbrands organisation and is considered by those in the know to be a key barometer of the nation´s coolest brands, people and places - reports AskAPrice.

At its core is the Coolbrands Council who judge which brands have created a cool reputation at this point in time. This years council includes DJ & MTV presenter Trevor Nelson, designer Ben de Lisi and Dazed and Confused Editor, Nikki Bidder. Superbrands has also joined forces with YouGov, the UK´s most accurate research agency to ask the consumers themselves which brands they rate as ´CoolBrands´.

Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the CoolBrands Council for 2007 commented, "with ever-evolving trends and interpretations of what is ´Cool´, this vital step forward makes the consumer knowledge and experience a fundamental part of the programme."

Aston Martin have undergone a transformation since Dr Ulrich Bez became the CEO in July 2000. They can now boast a line-up of class leading cars including the Vanquish S, the DB9 and the V8 Vantage. They will soon be joined by the convertible V8 Vantage and the high performance DBS coupe which has had a starring role in the latest James Bond film Casino Royale.

Aston Martin is the coolest brand in the world, by far. An Aston Martin is twice as cool as anything else in existence on this earth.

I find Lotus, Noble and TVR (not british anymore I know) cooler than AM but then again Aston Martin is probably the one I would go for

Dani I can completely understand Pagani, they use materials noone has ever heard of before 8)
