Default My craptacular little Mazda

Purchased for $400 USD in September
Fat little 82 hp FWD hatch

But oh well, at least it's a manual. I'm screwing around with it and fixing it up until I can afford an old Datsun 240Z or an Alfa or MG or TVR or something along those lines.

Thanks for beeing so quick in providing the custom shot

Ain't maybe a supercar, but we all have to start somewhere and only a couple of men had a Ferrari as a first car on this planet I think

I'm planning to do something silly like slap an RB20/RB25DET into it, gear it low, put a g-nose on it and shoot for 300 km/h but that's just a dream really

importing that engine is going to be expensive. But i've seen it done before so it;s not impossible.

I can get an RB20 front clip from an R30 Skyline for about $800. RB25 is about twice that.

I'm thinking about doing the DOHC engine swap, I can do it for almost nothing (family friend works at a junkyard and owes us money).

My first car (well my moms actually) I drove was a 121 Mazda 1.3. You had 3 models of 121, first you had the boxy thing. Then there was the one shaped like a charly chaplin hat, that's the one I used to drive And the last model was just a Ford Fiesta with a Mazda badge.

I had loads of fun with the 121, partially because I drove like a madman ops: I'm very lucky that I didn't end up worse then with the little crash I had. I really defied the laws of physics in that little Mazda. That doesn't mean I did a 360 or something, but I just kept pushing the gas pedal ... For instance I once passed 3 cars at the same time on a street where you could go 90km/h. They were doing 115km/h and I still passed them, slowly but I managed. And the road wasn't really straight either ...

Anyway, to get to the point: this is indeed a car you can have fun with. It's got a trashy little engine that never gives up on you.
