Thanks. They're M Parallels. I think "Type 37" in the BMW Wheel catalog.

Although I'm not positively sure, the M5 was available with M Parallels only on certain trim levels in the later years. They were 18x8 for all four wheels. The ones I have are off the 7Series and are staggered: 18x8 in front and 18x9.5 in the rear. They have been refinished in "black chrome". Not as shiny bling bling as regular chrome, but still shiny and a little different. Besides the wheels, the upgraded headlights and foglights (projector style) and the Dinan badge, everything is stock in appearance.

The 1991 M5 that I have comes stock with a 3.6L motor with 310hp. I have a Dinan chip and Dinan cam gears for engine enhancements. The suspension is Dinan Stage III. The 286hp you're thinking of is the regular 5Series, 540i.

In 1993, ithe M5 went up to 3.8L with 340hp - a very fast car. However, at 4,000lbs. it is a heavyweight and by today's standards, is only "average" with 0-60 mph of about 6.0. But for its time, like the new E60 M5 coming out, it was cutting edge and the benchmark that all performance sedans were compared to.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Yeah, that's only for you lucky ones in Europe. In the US, our M3 only came with 240hp for the whole time it was here. There was a slight bump in displacement and torque, but the overall hp rating stayed the same for all 4 years. AND, our motors only had one throttle body versus your motors which got the M trademark of individual throttlebodies for each cylinder. Lucky for us, things have changed for the US and we get what you all get now...almost.

Sorry, I don't. I think you can resize everything in Photoshop if you have access to it. Thanks for the compliments...

Indeed, since they are bigger, you just need to shrink them to fit your desktop Sachmo

I love the car but, for a professional taking them, I'm not so impressed with the pics.

Really? I think they're quite good, but then again, I'm probably biased since it's my car and I've never really had any better pictures before that.
