yeah, the insurance is going to go up from the conviction, but the lawyer is confident he can lower it from 6 points to 3 points, and 3 points would be equivalent to a 30km/h over speeding ticket, so it wont hurt so much. As long as they dont have to pay up for any claims they will stay fairly happy and it shouldnt jump too much.

Tough call on the mercs. Since its such an old car, but it has prestige the prices have an EXTREMELY wide range. I looked them up, and beater versions sell for around $6000-$7000 but go all the way up to $25000 for prime examples of the car. The one i hit had no visible rust or anything like that, so i imagine its probably worth like $15000 or thereabouts.

Its ok man...happens to alot of people..
My friends already told me when I turn old like 17-18 they wont ride with me just because im a speed addict....thats because i went 160km in my moms Dodge Caravan when I was 14 at my Uncle's farm...good times
