judging the color on the interior is difficult as the photos have been PS'ed and you would have to see it in everydaylight to really tell whether it looks good.

harry why are you pissed about the special edition?

I am too. More power's nice and all, but it's not special enough. It just ends up being another Boxster that costs too much. £45,400 is too much.

Very true, but I've seen red interiors in Porsche's before (I'm assuming Carrera Red) and I'm basing my comment off of that.

I'm also curious as to why you dislike it Harry.

53k Euro's is a lot of cash, but the Boxster appears to be pretty well optioned (PASM, full leather, etc.) so the price isn't tooooooooooo bad. A regular Boxster S fully loaded is above 100k USD.

I doubt that it's going to cost 53k Euro. I'm sure that's a mistake. The standard Boxster S starts at 55k Euro in Germany.

And yeah. I once specced out a Boxster S to $120k or something. All leather and all carbon fiber.

$100K for a Boxster?

HAHA I did the same exact thing! All leather and CF baby

As for the 53k Euro thing, I was just going off of what that link said, unless I misread it.

It's shitty because it's depleting the image and name of the brand by building so many cars based off of one chassis throwing a few things in here and there finding a race car that was successful(easily done) and naming it after that. There are already 2 "special edition" Boxsters available so this makes number 3. Yeah you get options as "standard" but you still pay for them. Look at the performance numbers virtually the same as a standard Boxster S, and equipment you can buy from the parts bin...thats not special. 315 hp with 4.9 0-60 times, 175 top speed, 6 pot brakes and parts/wheels specific to it's edition would make it sort of special

By the way a reg Boxster fully loaded isn't $100,000+ unless you are going all out...which I will assume is what you mean.

And the red interior is flashy at first but the color combo in person is very tasteful.

The only special edition car i see actually being of something good unless Porsche just f*cks shit up hardcore will be the 50th Anniversary Ed. 911. The 40th Jubilee Ed. was garbage...

I guess it's not too bad. But it's still poor attempt at selling out its past.

I like the fact that they removed the instrument binnacle and allow the guages to sit atop the dashboard. By doing so, Porsche make the car look a bit more like the "Speedster" it always should've been.
