great pix 666Fast; my goal is to one day (when I'm too old to ride my bikes) is to afford a 57, 78 pace car (my birth year) and a stocker z06. What can i say; i'm a hot head for a v8. They can all be next to my future 360 modena... lol

The Z06 and C5 vettes are damn cool too. I like them. But I favor the Z06 over a normal C5, they are damn quick.

The 50s Corvettes are beautiful, a friends dad has a 59. Deep deep purple, looks black from a distance. It is is drag car, 572ci
Makes 900bhp! The last time he took it to the track he ran 9 something. Could be faster if it wasn't for the tires spinning so damn much.

The best thing about Vettes is that you can drive them in the winter. We have a lot of snow here, and also a very unusual number of Corvette drivers, and many don't store them in garages. I think it's because they're made of fiberglass; Chevrolet will do just about anything to make it lighter.

LOL! i wouldn't drive one in the Winter! Rear wheel drive with plenty of power could make for a heartbreaking accident. It would be fun in a parking lot or something though.

I wouldnt drive it in the winter either. Fiberglass is cool cause you could leave your Corvette in a hail storm and not worry about it. No door dings either.

there's always the possiblity of the glass cracking and sometimes that can be a pain in the ass sometimes (like w/a fiberglass surfboard...ding repairs are a bitch sometimes)

I cant imagine why people garage a car that is meant to be driven. I couldnt imagine driving a beater when you have a corvette garaged.

I don't think it would be all that difficult. It might only be a Corvette but it's not like I want it to get wrecked. If I had one I certainly wouldn't drive it in the winter. I live in Minnesota, lots of snow and ice, which means lots of sand and salt on the roads. That will rust anything out.

Heh, that is why I made sure to post them! With an engine like that, you know there is a fair amount of power under the hood.
