Turning at - what? 3700rpm - doesn't amke for that impressive of a car engine.. But put that sucker into a decent sized crew cab duallie pickup truck and you can do some serious towing..

The number of the revs which get the maximum power...i mean 3700 rpm it doesnt sound strange for me since almost every direct injection diesel gets the maximum power in about 4000 rpm...for instance the brilliant and the new 2.0 16V VAG group engine gets the power in 3900rpm

lol, i think it is quite impressive, its not all the time you see an engine with twice as much torque than power. Not impressive impressive for a performance car, but for SUV's and rep mobiles that want to change gear as little as possible it looks like a decent engine. If the fuel economy is good that is

It´s just been a matter of time before they build an engine to beat VW´s V10 TDI. Thats why i love Mercedes

^^^^^that could happen, if only there was a way to get the revs up, that would be great.

Yeah, that's for sure...max power at 4000 revs is totally not cool. And compare the sound of a petrol V12 and any diesel... I'm not sure it would work

You could have an exhaust tuning for diesel cars, I heared one a E Brabus D8, and it was quite nice, but still I could hear instantly it was not the same as petrol, and actually it shouldn't be the same and it can't, it has its own sound.
