Looking For a Mid Range Digi Cam
My sister is looking for a camera to buy. It's for taking pictures of people more then anything, no car or nature photography so no special lenses nor mega pixels required.
Whats do you guys recomend, for a mid range, not shit, not great camera.
Thanks in advance.

you'll go safe with almost any canon or nikon.
but check any web page that has reviews and recomendations on digital cameras. You'll have a great guide.
also have in mind how small the camera must be. As I've seen, girls like smaller cameras that they can put inside their tiny handbags

Dell.com has the Canon SD200 3.2mp for only $160 American. Really good deal.

I bought mine at FutureShop. Go for it. She won't regret it. And it surely has gone down in price a lot since I've bought it.

Exactly! Now that the megapixel-market is filled, they're racing about zoom-factor. I'll stick with my dSLR.

My parents bought one a few weeks ago, they bought a 5megapixel one by Samsung and the pictures are just perfect, colour reproduction is just great, very sharp and very easy to operate. It is the Digimax V50, I have to admit that I was surprised by this camera. Here is all the needed info mate > http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...amsung_v50.asp
The camera was quite cheap as well, there was quite a big difference in price between this one and other 5megapixel cameras.
It is really worth the money, it is a great pocket-sized digi cam.
Good luck with mate.
Cheers

Goodpoint. . . I was in the same market a few weeks ago. Thanks to you guys, I ended up w/ SD200 w/ only 3.2MP.
