Italian police are very different then Michigan's police.
Also, how many Italian police drive the Gallardo? how many Michigan troopers drive the charger?
its like comparing white bread to a fanciful Fillet...

I'm with owl! And High Voltage what are you so angry about? Every car company sells based on gimmicks. I think it's been proven that there are much better "Driving machines" out there than BMW's, but that doesn't stop them from marketing it. The Charger is an iconic nameplate and Chrysler was in a bad way when they created this car. They needed a good, solid boost and you know what, it worked!

I like the Super Bee better, in blue. That's pretty cool.
The Charger's a pretty crude car, but it's still cool. I can't imagine why anyone would get a Camry instead. (by principle)
Oh, and Charger police cars are menacing in black and white.

It might be cool to look at, but I wouldn't want to be seen in one.
Uncool.

Agreed. But I'm pretty sure it's more than 4000 lbs. The door tag on the one I drove had it at over 5100!

425 hp isn't going to feel fast with over 2.5 tons on top of it.
GTO was more fun.

Are you serious? What you saw was likely the gross vehicle weight. The 5100 pounds is how much the car would weigh with its maximum specified payload of oh lets say 4 200 pound people and their luggage.
The car's curb (unladen, but full of fluids etc) weight is 4100 pounds.
Modern crossovers don't even weigh as much as you thought the Charger did.
