and today it arrived....and it is a HEAVY beast

What a LENS!

After carrying it around all day, my neck sure was sore as if I went to a headbanging Heavy Metal concert, and I had a hell of a headache!.... BUT.... it was worth it!

Congrats, surely does look like a beast! I'm interested in what you guys do with these massive lenses when you are using another lens? Do you have a special bag or carrying case for it? My camera bag is in no way large enough to put that sucker in...

^it came with a polstered carrying case, but I have just ordered a camera-backpack which will hold all my gear, charger and cables, and a laptop

wow, great lens IMO (this comming from a Nikon guy ) Congrats !

I'm sure you0ll have fun with it, I got the same one for Nikon

:shock: , you go to NS again - have fun!

just found out that there are courses on these days ( some guys from the french-swiss forum) are participating. Do you also take driving lessons on the ring ?

Exactly the same backpack I got myself. A bit big, but needed.

As for the neck pain, nth, only solution is to carry your camera on the shoulder, not around the neck anymore
