The comparison in experience between the two is quite substantial..

i'd say they are both very talented drivers - although i'd say Alonso more so than trulli though.

Trulli is under pressure this year as he does not have a guaranteed drive. I think his good performance at Monaco has invigorated him and it showed in Nurburgring where he out-qualified and out-raced Alonso.

In the past, Trulli was always a fast qualifier but had a tendency to be a mobile chicane in the race - meaning hold up faster traffic behind him. His performance would also lag towards the end.

This year he is better on all fronts. Alonso is on a temprary slump but he will recover for sure.

Both drivers should end up close to each other in the results...

who cares? as far as championship goes, its not as if these two matter, they are not competing for the championship, however as drivers they can be compared apart from their standing in the championship, even more so, since they both drive same cars ... trulli is doing better at the moment, but alonso is a far better driver, and long after trulli is gone, he will win a championship; someday, because he has the skills necessary, just not the experience and consistency, and of course, not the car, as good as those renaults are, they cannot match the awesome power of ferrari; but he has a very promising future, while trulli is on his way out ...
