What a crock.

Is it that hard for these stupid XBox360 programmers to get it through their think skulss we want TRACKSIDE REPLAY views.. not stupid "floating camera" views?

One of the most important aspects of racing/driving sims is the enjoyment and thrill of watching adecent replay.

Oh well.. somehow we knew they would mess that up.

The controls are nice, the cars look nice the track details are awesoem.. sound is great - but - the lack of a stick to shift when driving a non-paddle shift car is inexcusable.

That is a HUGE let down - part of the challenge of driving a stick shift - is taking your hand OFF the wheel to shift the stick - even if it is not an H-gate.. just the act of removing your hand form the wheel is a great part of the realism.

I give this game a 7/10.

The low marks come from pathetic replay cameras and no stick shift wheel support.

These are fetaures that should be a given.

Oh and the fact it opens on a 3D-flyaround of a C6-Z06 is also a plus

^^^ I agree with you almost 100%

It would of been better if they opened up with the 911 Turbo instead of the Z06

Anyway, as RC said the camera replay is awful and as for the wheel not having a stick shift.. I wouldn't know cause I don't even have a wheel but I get what he's saying.

The other thing I get is that did they skip on the damadge?

I took one of the cars and hit it at full speed into a wall to see what the damadge looked like. On the outside the damadge looked good, but on the inside nothing happened. Engine doesn't sputter, gearbox is fine, no suspension damadge ... absolutely nothing. Am I the only one with this problem or did they not bother to put it in the demo?

Nah - no damage in the demo is ok.. I am a little concerned that off track excursions don't spin youout as badly as they should.. so people could still wall ride their way around i fthey wanted

i downloaded the demo

1 thing really piss me off about the demo is, i can't chanve the control.. i am used to Gt4 style buttons instead of this and PGR3 config

i play the demo with no assitant except ABS.. i tried the c6z06 race car.. cant even drive straight . pretty easy to spin off in this game

graphic are ok i guess, but car models in PGR3 is better

the sound is spot on, lets hope gt5 get their acts together when it comes to sound, and the damage to the cars are really cool.. bumpers can fall off and they on the track

Try running into a wall again.

Im happy with the way the demo is. The graphics are great, and the track is very well laid out, with bumps and elevation changes all affecting your car. I think its a really good game that meets most of my expectations.

Again with the stick-shift with RC . Oh well, you cant make everyone happy. Perhaps RC just likes the feeling of a stick in his hands j/k. For me it dosnt really add or take away from the realism having to take one hand off the wheel to shift, but thats just me. I do hope that there is another wheel in development that wont be $150. :bah:

I do miss an in-car view as I have been playing GTR2 for the last week almost non-stop

But think about it... flicking the paddles is nto an option in a Viper, so the realityis, you do spend a certain amount of time of the lap with one hand on the wheel when driving a Viper... shouldn't the game controller allow for that interaction?
