That's a good idea for sure, but we would need to be sure every POTM winner pic exists in at leat 6, or better 8 MP and above. You'll need that at least for a good quality A3 print.
Also, I was curious to know how dingo managed to produce the calendar.

I already wanted to do a SCS's calendar some time ago, but it's not that easy to produce a limited amount of copies for a fair price and of course you don't want to loose money on it.
In the family we had a printing facility untill time ago, and that would have helped a lot, but it's not the case anymore and all the offers I got to have proper thick, gloss and high-quality paper, even thicker cover, cardboard back, nice spiral and so on were VERY expensive and nobody would have bought them

That will be the problem if you wanna make a JW calendar, to make it viable the qty will have to be high - the question is can you sell that many?

I had alot of these calendars made so that I didn't have to pay $50 for each one, but I have still invested quite a considerable sum to make them all. I did a bit of research/investigation to see if I could at least make my money back and after deciding I could took the plunge and ordered them.

It came down to thinking that these pics are unique (location and these type of cars) and therefore should be something people want to buy. I wasn't going to make a calendar with a Ferrari in some nice Perth location because I just don't think its special enough to sell. :bah:

I know ALOT of people in the car industry in Australia so I'm fairly confident I will get my $$$ back, so far I am a 1/3 of the way there after about a week of selling.

It was/is a risk and I might lose money out of this but its something I really wanted to do, and I do like a bet (casino, horse racing, stock market ) so I thought "why not?"

Come on people, this is pretty poor so far.

When this idea to collaborate with JW was proposed I expected quite a few orders, especially since a nice sum will be donated to the running costs of this site which we all love. Plus you get something in return too.....win-win isn't it?

This is the gamble you take with a "for sale" item

Just hang in there - as you can see, even a "free download" only got 580 "buyers" afetr 2 months.

Pretty piss poor effort.... I thought there would be more interest given the fact you are also helping out JW.

Anyway, thanks to those who did order...I think we'll just go ahead and ship these 7 for now. I'll give it another day or two for any final orders and then get them off.

Jabba, I'll be in contact regarding costs and shipping.

I am afraid its typical of this forum, I remember people bugging the shit out of me, for JW stickers, caps, t-shirts, mugs, etc etc I knew it would be a waste of time, but anything to keep people happy.

The shop opened about 6 months ago, at further cost to me, and each month I may add, and what for :

3 fucking sales to date, all the rest I paid for and sent out to the top posting members of the site, so I guess the shop will be closing in 2007.
