Default Top Gear - S11 EP2 - 29th June, 2008 - Discussion

The new series continues at high speed as Jeremy falls in love with the Mercedes CLK Black, Richard uses the Audi RS6 to take on some annoyingly cool French skiers and James sets our in-house bravery expert an enormous challenge involving an MG Maestro. Plus, the new Mitsubishi Evo X and Subaru Impreza STi rally around the test track and Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Firth go head to head in the Reasonably Priced Car.
looks like a good one

Oh, I dunno... I somewhat enjoyed the concept of the Stuntman. If they keep up with the ridiculous "record attempts", I'm good.

it's just a waste of time IMO. I would rather see a short review of some car than a stupid stunt.

At first I liked the idea of another member, but Stuntman as implemented is not serious. They have the Stig already, he could do it. Or they could find specialists.
Also, I'm concerned that there probably won't be any epic challenges - like that US or African trips, remember?

By the way, anyone here played the computer game Stunts?

^ Yep, that was a looong time ago, but I enjoyed that game a lot.

I'm not going to watch this episode live because of the football final, but it sounds very interesting!

The CLK review feels more like a commercial than a review.

i enjoyed this episode because there was little to no nonsense in it. i liked all the reviews, the way they present the cars is most important.

loved the subaru vs mitsu comparison
and the CLK BS one was also really awesome.

i just fast forwarded the stupid celebrity blabla, imo Clarkson is really overdoing it
