I'm a ferrari loyalist, but why does the Gallardo post higher hp/weight ratio, yet slower by half a second to 60? i know power isn't everything and all that, but after reading this Lambo vs Ferrari debate in the other thread i just find it interesting...
The 430 is almost 200 pounds lighter sure, but as you read the specs they are very much similar.

actually the ferrari puts up the better number in the article. on the stats page it says that the ferrari has an estimated 6.8 pounds per horsepower and the gallardo has 7.2 pounds per horsepower. you probably just read it wrong.
but yea i still see what you are saying. with the awd traction of the gallardo, getting off the line quickly shouldnt be a problem.
i think the time should be more around 4.0-4.1s 0-60.

Well, that's possible ...moreover, Lamborghini is possibly aware of it hence a power bump is being prepared both for gallardo and murcie.

I'm not a huge fan of new Ferrari's for some reason. I very much prefer the other cars which are compared to them, and I like a Gallardo much more than any recent Ferrari.
