What? That sounds nothing like the song in the CTS-V ad. But oh well.

Why not wait getting the LSA one till 2011 or so for the same price?

Well, the new car may not depreciate as much as fast - especially since its starting price is going to be close to $20,000 more.

Plus, the new car sll have "new rules".

GM is now voiding warranties of cars with altered ECU's, the cars keep track of a lot more data, OnStar will soon start emailing you speeding tickets.. the Dems ar eabout the take over.. blah... and by 2011 the 2004 CTS-V's will be $17,000

Well this CTS-V features the world's fastest-reacting suspension technology, Magnetic Ride Control (MRC). It uses shocks controlled by electro-magnets, rather than mechanical valves, greatly accelerating response time. Electronic sensors at all four wheels literally "read the road" every millisecond, making constant adjustments to damping to create virtually instantaneous and extremely precise control of body motions. This is of particular benefit for a high-performance sedan, helping to keep the car very composed during hard cornering, acceleration, braking and other dynamic maneuvers.
Besides It has increased nearly 35 percent for the '09 CTS-V, via a new 6.2L LSA supercharged V-8 engine generating an estimated 550 bhp and 550 lb-ft of torque. The engine delivers this power with remarkable refinement. A sixth-generation Eaton supercharger minimizes the added noise previously associated with supercharged engines, and tightly controls intake air temperature for optimal performance.

I don't think you want to do that while you're driving a 550hp, 550ft lb car.

I am sick and tired of all these electro gadgets.. they are great - fantastic, but have issues and fail and have problems. And when they do, the fall back to "limp home" mode.

With an ABS control unit costing $3000 to $5000 depending on the car, can you imagine the cost of getting your startrek suspension repaired 6 hears later.. you kow, after your warranty is over?

Sadly the moder eletroics and especially software driven systems are not as robustly built and engineered as the electromechanical stuff of a few year ago.

I will watch from the side lines, but not get a newer performance car.

Econobox or slow family hauler sure, but nothing high performance.
