"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU IF YOU BORROWED YOUR FRIENDS $275,000.00
DOLLAR LAMBORGHINI FOR A 25 MILE DRIVE TO PICK UP YOUR SON FROM HIS
WORK. GET ABOUT 3/4 OF A MILE FROM HIS SHOP, KICK THE CAR UP TO ABOUT
160 MPH AND LOSE THE BACK END AND HIT THE CURB. FLY FOR ABOUT 100 YARDS
LAND UPSIDE DOWN AND CATCH ON FIRE. THE GOOD NEWS IS THE CRASH DID NOT
KILL YOU,BUT THE BAD NEWS IS THAT YOUR ARE UPSIDE DOWN AND NO ONE CAN
GET THE DOORS OPEN. SO YOUR BURN TO DEATH.

THE SAD THING IS WHEN THE WRECKER TURNED THE CAR OVER THE DOORS OPENED
UP. HAD IT LANDED UP RIGHT THEY MAY HAVE GOTTEN OUT.

MY BROTHER SENT THESE TO ME. THE CAR BELONGED TO A FRIEND OF OURS IN
MIDLAND, TEXAS."

"Just hours out from the Phuket International Airport (PIA), the first major accident on the Thailand leg of the Gumball Rally occurred on a straight stretch of the Phang-Nga highway.

Flash, the wild purple Lamborghini, took flight after hitting a series of three “unexpected” dips in the road at 130mph. Resembling a mauve missile, the souped-up Roadster careened through the air for 40 feet, sliced through a tree and came to rest with a very serious bump on the grass verge.

Flash team-mates Paul Naden and Dean Philp, from the UK, were shaken but otherwise uninjured, and will be jetting their way to tonight’s party in Bangkok at the Oriental hotel. They will then fly on to Salt Lake City in the US, where Lamborghini is waiting with another roadster for them to complete the Rally, which ends at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in LA."

Lamborghini's penchant for going up in flames certainly doesn't seem to have gone down over the years.

And about that one where it landed upside down, I've never really thought about that, not being able to open the scissor doors. The only hope would be to get through the front window really.
