You must be too young to remember the 80s.. They even had a shelby dodge dakota pickup.


Seriously uncool.. Take a half way decent cheap car.. Make it extremely overweight (way more then its rivals), throw in an engine that is from a truck, and tack on 2 excess names (gt500 and shelby.. how much can they etch out of this).. You get a recipe for a car that is poor.. Im not a mustang fan to begin with admitedly, but there are severaly mustangs I would take long before this hype machine.

Cool but only in gunshot metallic paintjob. Though i much prefer the old stangs and the new one designed by that italian bloke(forgot how to spell his name) Guigearooa or sumthing like thatt=.

Quite nice car the problem is that it doesn't have 500hp! How can you call your car GT500 if you don't have 500 hp!!!

Top gear reported measured hp @ the rear wheel... 440 hp at the rear isn't so bad.... the car is 100% slightly under rated.. meaning, it makes about 515 hp SAE.

Big power, mercedes levels of weight, and unfortunate engine sound under stock conditions. Great design. great fun. As the mustang should always be. cool, as a v8 mustang always is.
