I say cool. It's not the youngest, but in my expirience, still the best handling hot hatch. It's totaly raw and the handling is mind blowing. The GTI and his bunch feel very vague compared to the type R.
The image is not it's strongest part, but with handling like that and a gearbox that can match the handling.... I vote cool. Almost subzero.

Without looking at the people that TRY and associate themselves with this car i think it is good stuff. But, if i do what everyone here is doing and incorporate the retarded people that slap the Type-R emblem on eveything they drive, then I HATE THIS CAR!!!! but i love honda so i'll give it the benefit of doubt and say cool

it's a fun little car, and performancewise I can't see anything wrong with it, but the fact that everytime I hear Civic Type R...I think Civic Type Rice...uncool.
