Asked about Bernie's view, the Briton said plainly, "That is wrong. It is incorrect."
"I don't want to speculate on what might happen, but it is only in the most absolute exceptional circumstances that a penalty for a team is different from a penalty for the driver," Mosley added.

Does somebody know why they can't be penalized constructor's points and not driver's points? Or is he just saying that "the drivers are part of the team so if the team gets penalized the drivers do too" in a cryptic way?

Nope. They should move it to Long Beach in 2009.

A bit off-topic, but check this awesome footage of the Sepang GP in 2001 to see Verstappen at it's absolute best! Very very spectacular

Yeah, they are good friends of eachother and it was nice to see Michael complimenting Jos in the press conference. Personally I preferred the battle between Verstappen and Hakkinen though. I remember watching this race 6 years ago and I was jumping up and down in my room from excitement, really awesome!

Tony George Transcript
The United States Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will not be on the 2008 Formula One schedule after eight consecutive annual events since 2000.
After recent meetings, Indianapolis Motor Speedway CEO Tony George and Formula One Management Ltd. CEO Bernie Ecclestone mutually agreed to not schedule Formula One racing in 2008 at Indianapolis.
"After several discussions, Bernie Ecclestone and I were unable to agree how to keep Formula One in Indianapolis for the near term," George said. "However, we have agreed to leave the door open for a potential future date.
"It has been a pleasure having the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis, and I hope that as we approach our Centennial Era at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an opportunity might present itself that would allow its return."
The 2007 event was June 17 and was won by British rookie Lewis Hamilton. At the time, George and Ecclestone agreed to a mid-July deadline for a decision about future events.

Wow, that Verstappen race brings back memories. He was a great driver and it was a pity not to see him in better machines.
Interesting that Bahrain was chosen to host race one. I'm still interested in seeing what will become of the madcap idea of night races.
