Ive just got the VK sticker to come off the bonnet the others have to stay on due to championship regulations

im in the process of making a camera mount (as there easy to make and would cost about £100 if i was to buy one ) and as soon as thats done you will have video

It does sound very good, and for a 1400 its very fast took it for a ride today and got passed by a coy racer in a corsa going the other way, i carried on for a few seconds and decided to turn around and see if i could catch him lol, when i cought him his passenger kept turning round and he tried to pull away from me but i rarely got out of 3rd gear and was rite behind him lol maybe i had the little advantage of knowing the roads like the back of my hand lol

Congrads on the new car! You'll be in the WRC before you know it.
I was planning on competing in the last few rounds of last years championship (july to september) but as my birthday was in may and i had to pass my driving test first i didnt manage to get my licence till september with waiting times for test and things like that so i left buying the car till late, i bought the car about late november and i have just been tinkering with it ever since, As of yet i havent competed in a rally, im off to do a days testing in the forest soon, then i am entered in the Roskirk stages (www.bssmc.com ) and after that i have 5 challenge rounds to do for definite, the 205 challenge is very popular and produces some of britains best tallent, in a recent article in motorsport news magazine they madea list of the top 10 drivers that could make it to wrc in england and 4 of them came frmo the challenge.

the challenge also has LOTS of press coverage with local and national newspapers, local and national TV aswell as dedicated programs on channels such as men & motors, sky 1 etc. Hopefully i will get somewhere with this and to help me on my way i have just got a letter from university yesterday that says they have offered me a place on a motorsport engineering degree course and as part of this i will get to spend a year at M-sport (the people who make the Focus wrc cars)

and thanks for the last comment

Be careful anyway, you need some experience with driving it, dont take it as bitching, its simply practice and experience that makes you good

What an amazing weekend! It started off great with that gathering at the Fox's (Thank you ) Then there was that little kafuffle when we got back ot the tents but lets not say anything about that as its all in the past now.

Me n' Loz decided to get down to the track as early as poss so that we could have a walk round and see but it was so but that we only go time to walk round about half of it. First stage i took really cautiously as i didn't want the same thing to happen to me as the sunbeam (head on into a tree - nav air lifted to hospital and driver in thambulance) on my first event, that looked real nasty with the big tree gauge in the front . the other stages we thought we did really well on considering that it was out first ever event. We got interviewed by SKY TWICE! (have a feeling one of those was thanks to Pat (challenge organiser)( another top guy thanks for organising everything))

The stages in the dry were really fun loved every minute of it and me and loz didnt really have any nervs atall, not even on the first stage, which surprised us. the wet stages were amazing fun, stage 7 we cought one car, spun cought him again passed him again stage 8 cought another car and then attempted to gain some time on a bm but there was no point as it left us down the straights

Im glad we made it to the finish, we lost a screw in the dizzy cap second to alst stage and it got some water in and the car was sounding really sick getting to the end of the stage and im sure a few of you saw, it had to be pushed from the finish line to out spot in the pits

I was aiming for finishing about 10th 1400 and top 3 in beginner section instead i got

1st beginner
1st in class 1
3rd 1400 overall

well chuffed

Overall great day, thanks to Pat and the organisers / marshals and anyone else who helped out on the event

P.s. cant wait to see the pics and Sky footage now

ill post pics when i get them

I know you lot prob wont know who i am talking about in here but i just coped what i wrote on the 205 rally forum

the rest of the pics are on www.digitalmotorsport.co.uk OAK LEAF STAGES 2006 then on page 14 i am car #58
