Hard to look cool when you die because of a car with a hideous wale-tail spoiler
FYI - This car didn't have a "Hideous Whale-tail spoiler".

then what's that growth coming off its ass in the picture? even if that's not officially one of those whale-tails, it's still not pretty.

in addition to my comments before, i have to add that the only people i see driving around in old 911's like this one look like total douches. Just the cocky middle-aged businessmen type who like to pretend they're so much better than everyone else by driving a german car.

This car is SZ because you might actually get to own one someday, or at least a bad clone of one.

I also have a 2.7L in my 1977 911S, so it's getting the highest rating possible from me.

Sub-sub-sub-super-cool-abosolut-zero...

The planets are aligning and karma is smiling and the zodiac is good phase... how so? An in depth of one of the 2.7 RS prototypes is on the cards....

Anyone who thinks this car is not sub-zero does not know a thing about cars.

And the CGT being crappy... LOL!

It's ur opinion, u can even say it's uncool if u have certain unhappy experience.

To me, this is a classic, and how I picture a 911 even now. The standard for how a air-cooled flat 6 will sound.

sub Zero.

I recall some in car footage of a 911 2.7 RS running around a track that was way faster through the bends then a GT3 RS; and just losing out in the straits.... but the GT3 couldn't get away!

Amazing car!

Sub Zero - Having the opportunity to drive a real one, the car is an absolute blast, its fast for its time and even by todays standards. Made me want a 911, an older one and a newer one.

Is this the car we are talking about

Don't know the history or fascination that people have with this car, but it must be a hell of a good handling car for some people to call give it a subzero, because certainly don't see it in design!!

Maybe I need to study up on this car a bit before I vote.

No footballer owns a 2.7RS (I hope), and Steve Mcqueen owned 2 911s, although none were RS's http://www.mcqueenonline.com/mcqueenscars.htm.
This secures the 911 2.7RS, and in fact all classic 911s, a place in the cool category. Unfortunately, the yuppies and the footballers laid their eyes on the 911 later on. Many of them ended up in the ditch.

If your looking for an older 911 this is the one to own. Rare, fast and a thumbs up from any other Porsche owner. Unfortunately with the recent up tick in collectible cars this prices the RS at $250,000 or more. If your looking, one is for sale in Europe right now for 320K euros, it is a lightweight vs a Kumfort which are less.

This one sold at Barrett-Jackson in '05 for 95K it was imported from Japan for the auction. Really nice shape unrestored and a good solid driver with about 35,000 km.

Now its a real bargin.

It seems that all the classics I would like to own rocket in price faster than my income increases. The RS is already high in the sky. The 911 for me is now the S-model, either 2.2 or 2.4 litre. The latter one has 190 horsepower, only 20 less than the RS.
