The 16-35mm F2.8L Mark II made me offer my 17-40mm for sale. Hoping it costs the same as the previous model. I am dissapointed that only one body was up on offer. Was hoping to see a 1Ds, 5D & 30D replacement and updates on zoom lenses.

Pre-orders $500 more than previous model? Maybe I'll wait until April when it comes out in quantities.

I'm really hoping they will announce more products during PMA. The 1Ds really needs an update but I am really eyeing for a 5D update.

I'm buying a 1D MKIII when I go to the US in November.
Hopefully a replacement for the 100-400L IS will be announced in August so I can get that as well.

What do you do? I mean, you're probably not buying the MKIII just for the fun of it

I'm a semi-pro photographer

Apart from the LCD screen being fixed the MKIII spec is perfect. Clearly the MKIIIn will have a flip out swivel screen but I can't wait that long.

Damn.. I wonder what Nikon has coming to compete with this beast.

The self cleaning sensor thing a long with the rapid machine gun fire shutter is just too fucking cool!

Yeah Nikon gotta update their D2Xs soon. It's been a while. Hopefully the D3 will come soon and with that maybe a price drop on the D80 .

Forget the D80. I'd go for the D200. But really I would want something with a CMOS sensor rather than the CCD from Sony that Nikon has been using for the D50 to D200.
