4 seconds quicker for something thats supposed to be racy and has 200hp is ridiculous.... they should have made this a "proper" race car for the road, not a merc with a body kit

These http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....per+Sport+Race. So yeah semi slick competition tyres.
Must be disapointed with that. Beaten by a bmw with 220bhp less! You can take the kids and lugage with you in the csl too. Also how much is the barge...... i mean merc!?

that hurts...
still, CSL's tires are better, I'm not backing up. I just tought the CLK is faster......
Don't get your hopes up to high, your luggage would fall trough the cardboard floor, right after your kids would ged cooked for dinner on the back seats.............I don't even know what I'm saying.
Here I am a guy who prefers BMW's over mercs anyday, and I'm sticking up for the CLK. I just ove that car sooo much...
Anybody have any times set by the CLK-GTR?
I've been looking for them for ages.....thx

Slicks like hot asphalt, in Germany its not Summer, so the cold could affect the times.
SPortauto said that CLK-DTM was the best handling Mercedes they ever tested, even better than CLK-GTR, sportauto said.
But its impressive for a 360hp and much cheaper than CLK-DTM to have similar laptimes around tracks, cant wait for the new M3 CSL

Wasn't the CLK-DTM AMG quicker than the SLR? I'm not sure, but I remember reading somewhere that it was a much better performance car than the SLR, but half the price, so between the two, the CLK-DTM was the better deal - plus it's even more rare than the SLR...
...all that, only to be beaten by the "lowly" M3 CSL.
