Ahhh okay i comprehend the rule so i ll have to wait till i go back home to Dubai and get pictures of my keys and manuals on the car. Interesting theory does make sense.

Hi

I am a bloody newbie here but i'd like to challenge this rule - as i, too, haven't seen anything quite like it anywhere else.

So let's say i am a "wannabe" but good in fixing computers. So my bloody rich neighbour has this McLaren, and he's got a virus on his Windows-computer, too.

Now being the friendly guy that i am, i fix his computer, and ask him to borrow his car key and his manual and come with me to the parking lot just to let me take a couple of pictures of his car.

Of course he'll let me do that, for i have just saved his life and his porn collection from being wiped out by Winblaster.32.superevil.worm.

And here i come, posting that holy "personal picture" of "my" McLaren. Wow what a guy i am, right?

What i want to say is, if one wants to BS, he will BS, regardless what the rules.

Anyway it won't apply to me for my car is such a regular one and old enough nobody would even try to steal it, as is my beloved motorbike.... but still i have my topic there and the pics as required, i don't mind it.... but sense it doesn't make too much.

Best regards......

Thanh

Appreciate your comments, Thanh..

You are right - in that you havn't seen a custom rule quite like the ones here... It is for this reason you also don't see any BS posters around MW.

I like the rule, and the effect it has in keeping MW membership base of a very high quality.

I don't get why anyone would object to this. It's quite simple and logical. If you have problem with the philosophical aspect of the rule, well, that's that.

The point is, if one does BS, then one will get caught out

It happens everytime BSer comes along

Hasn't failed us yet. Besides, there are other means of verifying authenticity of ownership

Additionally, it is "that much harder" for somebody to BS. Again, it has not failed us. Challenge all you like, but it works because of that.
