Default 997 Carrera S onboard video @ Bedford Autodrome

EVO magazine tested the Carrera S against the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

First the 911 onboard:

Then click on the link.

And for the V8 Vantage:

great vids guess i dont have to read the evo test of these cars anymore its nice to see these 2 great cars, the 911 being a tiny bit more keen on oversteer than the aston btw does any1 know when the evo issue with these cars will come out??

[EDIT] i see it is already out, now all thats left is the issue reaching dutch shops/TT's mailbox and scanner

Brilliant. The 997 looks like an absolute animal on the track

More direct links to the vids:

Aston Martin V8 Vantage: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/website/video.php?id=59787

The Carrera S seems like such a great car to drive and I personally like its sound more than the AM V8. Just love the metalic rasp of the flat-6!

By the way, very skilled driver! Some nicely dosed heel-and-toe blipping there. I like the way he flicks the 911 round the circuit, looks like he's having a lot of fun! Can you imagine how good the 997 GT3 will be...

I also agree that the 997 sounds better than the Aston. Some people write off 911's because there are plenty of them around. When they're driven as they were intended to be driven, they certainly do the business

And yes that driver is on top form. He gets a great couple of drifts going in the Porsche

i take it none of y'all are regular readers of EVO magazine as if you were you would have taken notice of the fact that the guy driving the car is none other than Evo correspondent Richard Meaden a very accomplished racer in his own right with years of experience in all manner of road cars race cars etc. The guy sat next to him is road test editor Jethro Bovingdon.
Just a lil snippet of info there for you!

be sure to show this clip to those who think that ALL motoring journalists cant drive!
incidentally great clip he really does spank those cars especially the Carrera S.
