I too like the X5, especially the LeMans one they built. if only they would put that into production.
I also like the Cayenne and the new Infinity.

How about the Cayenne Turbo? But if you're using it to go offroad (why else do you want a SUV anyway?), can't beat the hummer H1 or jeremy's favourite choice, Landrover.

look at this one. this company made this car off of a Ford platform and their sayin it doesnt look like a H2.
look at the rest of their shit on their site, their cars are hideous.
www.avantimotors.com
as far as SUVs go, i dont know, not really a big fan, if i had the money and needed one i would probably buy a H1 or something else that could tow shit and work well off-road. as for the street i think i would buy a Typhoon, its smaller then X5 and older but its fast as hell
EDIT: this is a Typhoon, in case you never saw one, they didnt make too many. It has a 4.3 liter V6 with a turbo that puts out about 270hp(i think) it has AWD. 0-60 in about 5.3. its ugly but its fast, their is a Saudi Arabian version with a little more power and setup a little differently to handle smooth dirt roads, too, other then that they arent really off-road vehicles

X5 is Ok, HOWEVER not the current one as they are returning to BMW dealerships as if they are going out of fashion! They are returning looking like someone has removed the suspension.............which had in fact just broken. The updated model has been revised. Humm talking about BMW I am a little shocked at some news recently, I will post it up in a bit.......TBC

I don't like SUVs at all. Just a waste of space if you ask me.
If I HAD to name one, it would be the Alfa Romeo Kamal concept. But that's on looks alone, because the idea of Alfa Romeo building an SUV makes my stumach turn upside down. It's almost as bad an idea as the diesel engines (or, in the future, GM engines) for Alfa Romeos.
Some people call me a purist. I don't have a clue what they're talking about...

If we're going for pure offroad purpose and effectiveness, i think there is no replacement for LandRover/RangeRover. But, if i had to drive it everywhere, i would have to have a Cayenne Turbo..only until Audi's Pikes Peak Quattro comes out. Thats about what i would do.
