They do look a bit goofy, but I have to admit, after I won my Vespa (and immediately contemplated selling it), I found that it's excellent within-city transportation, and it gets around 75-80mpg, so it's pretty cheap to run.

And the fact that, in Finland at least, when the police catch you, you have to pay some fines and such, plus buy a years worth of motorcycle insurance, because they have so much power. Doesn't make doing that much of a good idea....
