Default The only 3 cars I lust after...

and as after 7 years I still only have 1, maybe I should stop modding this one, and work at getting the other 2 cars on the list. (well, if funds ever become "no object" then I will add a RUF RT12 to the line up... but this is the realistic "wish list" I have fo rthe moment.)

2001 C5 Z06 (check)
2000 Cobra R (crap - they have almost doubled in value while I wasnt paying attention)
2001 Viper ACR (Now just to find one that hasn;t been abused or owned by an arsehole )

Funny how even a Viper looks subtle next to a Cobra R.
If the price of those is so high, wouldn't it be more cheaper to buy a Cobra and tune it to the same level as the R ?

It finally clicked what your avatar is RC.. The "Z07" - is this the NA monster you were referring to earlier? MTI lists this as being force inducted..

What's the appeal of the Mustang?

Nah - the Z07 is the current setup And yes, the ultimate Z07 is the forced induciton version, but we ended up with a N/A versin that is more powerful that the original F/I version hehe

I just posted a tidbit of the next version

Ever since I saw a couple of race-prepped 2000 Cobra R's lapping at Texas World Speedway in 2002 I have just wanted one - the sound, the normally aspirated aspect - and that it is a barebones badass streetcar/race car..

stipper cars are always cool. The radio delete option always gets my blood pumping.

Wow, I didn't know the Z06 would lap so much quicker than the ACR.

yep - and "back seat delete"... so purposeful.

Yep, depending on the day and track/driver combo all 3 of those cars were within dogs ball hair of each other - I do believe the bumble-bee they drove there was a little tired, as you never normally saw those criticisms leveled at the ACR that severely.

RC, I know there is at least one four-wheeled apparatus you have left out of the equasion....

I know you lust after a clean 1987 Ferrari F40 too.... air-con "delete" (wasn't on the first batch of cars anyway) and slider windows really meant business

that said.... those three are fantastic cars I lust after as well (those four cars)

^^Sadly the F40 moves further and further out of my reach every passing year. It is hard to believe that they were changing hands for almost bargain price of $250,000 about 7 years ago

Th F40 and RT12 are for when I have achieved squillionaire status hehe

Based on what Ive heard from people who own and lap these cars, the viper is significantly faster but is a handful. Essentially its much harder to pull fast consistant lap times. When it does though...

you got the best of the bunch, now why would you want the other 2? that's not the kind of reasoning we know from you

Rc45 how about one of these a proper british rallycars/racecars?
Maby you swap somehow a chevy ls7 engine in one of the darrian t90 gtr's.
Great for some late night touge runs or hill climbs.
Modern day group b rallycar.

Nah, doesn't have "panache"

A Caterham SLR would be a good as a 4th or 5th car though.

Ahhhhhhh. Motorweek! It brings back memories of horrible days when I didn't have Jabbasworld/Motorworld and Top Gear.

That and Auto Motor und Sport kept me relatively up to date on car stuff in my middle school - early high school years.

That's a nice group. Although I didn't think the Cobra R would be in such demand... (double in value, really?)
Thankfully, I have all 3 on Gran Turismo.

yes... pretty sad... need hundreds of thousands of dollars...
