As requested by sameerrao:

Pratice Four News:

Michael Schumacher will lose ten grid places due to an engine change after he crashed his Ferrari in Saturday's second practice round.

The seven times World Champion lost control of his car on the bumpy track, turning into the fast Ferradura corner, just three minutes before the end of the final practice session.

He slammed backwards into the tyre barriers, the F2004 sustaining severe rear-end damage and bursting into flames around the engine bay. Schumi escaped unhurt.

No problem mate, picking up a new car is more important than anything I would say ~ I swear if I am on my way to pick up my porsche (Hyperthetically), and I broke my finger. As long as I can still shift...I will pick up the car and drive round a few times before going to the hospital LOL!!!

Anyways......enough hijacking of the F1 thread

I am going to sleep now.....need to wake up for Qualifying tomorow, hope Rubens got pole.

Rubens Barrichello
“It was a great feeling out there today. I have lived here for around 20 years and as I was going out on the track it felt like it did in my karting days. I just went out to try my best and when I saw that I was on pole when I crossed the line, I felt my legs go numb, because it had been very high pressure. I think the crowd would have left their seats and chased me into the garage if I had made a mistake! It was great seeing their reaction on my slowing down lap. I start from the same place as last year, I have a very good car for the race and I am feeling very serene. To be honest, the pressure has gone already. Tonight I will go home and play with my son and sleep in my own bed and it will just seem like a normal day.

Last year, I was very much prepared to win and I am equally prepared to win tomorrow. This result means the first big battle of the weekend is won, but tomorrow comes a bigger battle. It will be a long race, physically quite hard and a long battle. One mystery will be the weather. It was a shame for Michael, who had a big impact this morning and had to adapt to the spare car with no other running before qualifying. But I think he can also have a good race tomorrow.”

Rubens seems to be confident.........I hope he wins...<finger crossed>

Wow Schummi's got to start from 18th position as a result of the penalty for his accident (After his accident in Turn Six this morning, the damage to the his car had been so great that there was no way Ferrari could install the engine in the spare F2004, so Michael had to accept a 10 place grid penalty even before his qualifying lap in an unfamiliar chassis yielded only the eighth fastest time)

JPM WINS!!! What a surprise that was! Schumi again failed to claw his way back along with yet another early spin.
Raikkonnen drove an excellent race but just couldn't get close enough to JPM to pose a serious threat.

Not as exciting of a season finale as i was hoping for, but it was still a good race.

i know, i wanted to see Barrichello win too. BUt you have to admit, JPM is also the LAST person you'd expect to win the GP though. Especially after all the shit everyone here seems to talk about him *cough*maxpower*cough*

i'm glad he was able to show that he has gotten over his so-called bumper car tactics. and i'm glad BMW finally got a hard earned victory this season. He drove a very clean race and held fast lap in brilliant fashion. Hopefully him and Raikkonnen can work out any differences they have in the off season, cuz frankly Kimi has waited for a long time for a teammate that can push him the way Barrichello and Schumi and Sato and Button push each other ( i was also disappointed to see Button's engine expire but seeing the smoke coming off the car just prior to the start lights kind of prepared me for it)

Montoya is a good driver, just admit it. He isn't as good as either Ferrari driver but IMO he is better than Ralf. He was much better with the walrus-nose than Schumacher was and is probably the best cold tire driver of the entire grid. With him behind the wheel of a McLaren next year, i think Ross Brawn and Jean Todt are going to be nervously watching the McLaren pits during the races the way they were watching the Renault pits at the begininng of this year.

lol funny name for montoya,

well I don't know for sure but it seems that schumi was riding with 30% less wing, so he could get more practice for next year, smart huh?

To be honest, with all the "still to be approved" changes for next year, I don't have high hopes. It's gonna be chaos everywhere like 1996 when they change the aero rules and all cars are losing low speed traction.
