Default Help! Live for Speed error!!!!!

I've just downloaded the demo, so I could start playing this game everyone is talking about. When I click on the lfs executable, I get the following error message: "Could not write to data folder - is LFS correctly installed?". WTF am I doing wrong? I unzip the files to another folder, like I'm supposed to, right? If I create a folder named "data" in the gamedir it crashes. I'm drowning here, guys...

don't take the error message literally.

what version of windows do you have. im assuming you tried uninstallin, restarting your pc, then installing again.

If you used a download manager to download the game, the file might have been corrupted. Sometimes when i use DAP to download, the files dont work and i have to download them again. If the game setup is not very large try downloading it again with no speed up software.
