Default You're a 90s kid if:

You remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain and Two Stupid Dogs.

You’ve ever ended a sentence with the word, “PSYCHE!”.

You just can’t resist finishing this: “Iiiiiiin west Philadelphia born and raised…”

You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World.

You remember when Tupac and Selena died.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You remember reading “Goosebumps”.

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say “NOT” after (almost) every sentence.

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record “your FAVORITE song of ALL time”.

“Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?” was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet. He’s a hero.

You knew that Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, and Tommy, the Green Ranger were meant to be together.

You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Mega Drive became popular.

You always wanted to send in a tape to “You’ve Been Framed…” but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 and 3……..and tried to pull the pranks on “intruders”.

You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yomega Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where’s Wally/Waldo books.

You remember when Mortal Kombat wuz tha shit!

You remember eating Warheads (the sour candy).

You remember watching the first Batman, Aladin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies. Not the 3 Ninjas, though.

You remember Ring Pops.

You remember drinking Fruitopia and Surge. Not surge, though.

You remember when every thing was “da bomb”.

You remember when they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!

You remember boom boxes versus CD players.

You remember writing M.A.S.H. notes

You remember making those little paper fortune cookie things.. and then predicting your life with them.

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on “Saved By the Bell”.

You played and/or collected “Pogs”.

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere.

You haven’t always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles.

You had a favorite New Kid on the block, and you knew all of their names.

Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were “Lisa Frank” brand.

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out.

You collected those Beanie Babies.

You remember a time before the WB. (not really applicable for me)

You collected all the Troll dolls.

You owned a portable tape player.

You know what an original Walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You’ve gotten creeped out by “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”

You know the Macarena by heart.

You remember “Gladiators” and watched it like a religion.

“Talk to the hand…” Enough said.

You always said, “Then why don’t you marry it!”

You know the significance of the number 23.

You went to McDonald’s to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds…at the play ground.

You haven’t always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

--remember my friends dad got a pentium 75, win 95 and an internet connection... I was really jealous.....we had a 386 at home with win 3.11 =)

You know the significance of the number 23.
--I'm fairly certain this is Michael Jordan we're referring too...

^Yeah, I thought 23 might have been Michael Jordan, but I wasn't sure so I didn't italicise it. I was a Jordan fan.

And I loved Windows 3.1. In fact, no, I loved MS-DOS.

hmm.... I used to play home made computer games my dad wrote for his Attache in 1982 (granted, i didn't play it really til 1985)

after that, we graduated to various GUI's, even using the original Windows system here and there... running MSDos long before Windows 1, we ran Lotus Notes, and Easy Cad for fun, and installed Flight simulator (a cesna, and swapwith camel) in 2 color (white, and less white) eventually graduating to EGA, then one day we went on to VGA... which we'd be stuck on for years before we made it to SVGA. For a long while, we were ahead of the curve until the divorce kinda took "fun money" out of the game.

yeah, we had some dot matrix printers that were loud as hell

windows 3.1? we didn't use that until the early 90's on that laptop, we played Wolfenstein 3d on it, it pwned in laptop monochrome! Windows 95? hmm.... that must have been 1996 before we got Windows 95; along with joining the AOL speak revolution on dial up superfast 9600 baud modems. We didn't upgrade again until we bought a new PC in 1999, and it had Windows 98 SE... that computer still works great. That was the PC i learned how to build one from scratch... its nowhere near what it originally was, and lead me to never want to buy some OEM prebuilt pc crap again.

And somewhere in between; I had a mac... and never will have that POS again. Suddenly everything i knew meant nothing, and i had to be stupid to run that POS OS; so i became stupid, and it ran fine. But... then i couldn't do anything school related that was of any value, i couldn't play games I loved... it was just stupid. (and a "powerful" mac of its era... all for naught)

So with a PIII 600 mhz, I was lanning, my friends were lanning, and we were trading massive files... we finally got broadband without limitations, and napster hit.

I suddenly had bagillions of games, songs, videos, and anime (no hentei) We set up lans at my house for the weekend, or my friends houses... it was fun... we usually l,ost sleep on the weekends. Fun.

So that PC was slow, and i built one in mid 2002 as a top of the line machine... top end graphics, top end ram, top end processor, and a great mobo; and a nice big CRT i still use now. I've upgraded a number of times over the last 4 years... but its feeling dog slow to all these new fangled PC's we got here. That will have to be updated sometime soon
